The Play Observatory: Symposium Videos Published

The videos of talks by the team, and our guest speakers, earlier this year at our symposium on pandemic play are now published online. Please read on to access them directly from the blog… You can also see them all in a Vimeo Showcase (a playlist, in other words!).

We recorded all of the talks and screenings by the team and our guests and we are now (finally) posting them for you to watch again - or for the first time if you missed them over the two days in January this year. The speakers gave their time generously and made some fantastic contributions to our understanding of children’s playworlds during the pandemic. I apologise for the length of time it has taken to get these online. We are a small team and we were immediately plunged into the last pieces of work on our exhibition with the Young V & A (along with our day jobs). We then had to re-check permissions for all the videos and make edits where necessary. In some cases speakers had to re-record some of them.
Special thanks are due to Michelle Cannon for working on the final edits. I have now completed the uploading and you can access them from the embedded links below. Individual speakers – and the Play Observatory team – will be circulating links on social media in the next few days. Please do interact with them online. Please post any comments here, as well.
